Demarquis is a freelance artist residing in Virginia Beach, VA. For the past three years, he’s been using brown paper bags as his canvas and focusing on images of children engaged in everyday activities. Many of his pieces are accompanied by poems that provide additional layers of imagery to his work. Demarquis briefly studied art, though he prefers to set aside formal lessons and to rely upon his artistic instinct instead. His work has been displayed at the following venues: Outre Gallery in Richmond, Virginia; Detail Gallery in Delaware; and at the Plieades Gallery 23rd annual National Juried show in New York.
