Job description: Art-director / Filmmaker / Photographer
What themes and concepts does your work generally revolve around?
Dead or sick beauty; there is something there, I do not really understand what.
What are you currently working on?
A movie called “Go to the Woods.” =)
Go To The Woods
It’s quite strange to walk in the woods, alone, at the night. The main thing is not to run away and get lost in the depths.
Every night I experienced a strong desire to go to a forest. The forest that is absolutely silent, tranquil, restful and endlessly dark. The further you go the better. While making the film the most important thing for me is to catch the main idea that you want to express. And in the forest I’ve caught what I was looking for. Later on all other missing pieces of one big puzzle came to me to be caught and produced in full-length movie “Go to the woods.”

How is your film progressing?
Up to this moment we’ve shot the middle part of the film. It started as a short movie. But after the first days of shooting I decided to shoot as a full length movie.
What’s next for you?
Somebody told me to make each film like it’s the last film.
What inspires you?
– I like to imagine what is happening in the places where we are afraid to go. Most likely some miracles or very strange things.
– I like to collect strange people.
– Anxiety is a much more pleasant feeling than fear. Fear is too coarse an emotion. You don’t need to be afraid of the anxiety. The anxiety is a wonderful feeling.
This music video I also created for genera.tv contest.
Scary and frightening to renounce the visible representation of the life and surrender to the unseen consciousness of it as scary and creepy child would be born, if he could feel his birth – but do nothing when it is clear that a visual representation leads to death, and consciousness of the invisible alone gives life. (Leo Tolstoy)
Is any of your work political?
What are you trying to communicate with your art?
Find mystery in things around us and within us.
Do you work in any other mediums?
I’m trying to learn some things for making interactive visual installations.
